I've recently discovered that I'm more apt to download shows if I can listen to a stream at least for the bands I've never heard of. That being said I now have been posting shows in all formats because if only shn and flac files are uploaded then I can't stream so this makes sense to me just wondering what other people think

I'v just been thinking since the archive converts the format for you it really isnt any more work for people posting unless you really have a bug about the quality but if it's done right there isn't much loss and if I'm listening on my computer here at home the quality isn't much of an issue I only have the Cambridge Soundworks computer speakers they are ok but not real speakers

Makes sense to me. I don't have the shn/flac conversion software loaded at work so I'll definately download an mp3 to check something out. Even at home it's worth it to hear the sound quality of a show first.
Keep it up.

Personally, I love to watch the RSS feed for bands I dont know that are uploaded and converted into mp3/ogg's. then I listen to a random song or stream the show (I have loaded the mac widget that allows for streaming to itunes from an m3u).

So, for me, the mp3's make all the difference.

I'll check the band's website and see if I can figure out what kind of music they play. Then either take a gamble and d/l a whole show or d/l a ogg file or two to give a listen. I might vary this method if I had broadband. 28.8k sucks!!
